Our Legacy
Founded by Rev. Dr. Gerald Austin Sr., MEGA International Legacy Foundation has transformed over 82,000 lives since 1986.
Rev. Dr. Gerald Austin Sr. was one of nine children raised by a single parent in Birmingham’s largest public housing community. He founded what would later become the MEGA International Legacy Foundation, committed to breaking generational cycles of poverty and disempowerment. Now spearheaded by his daughter, Dr. Sylvia Austin-Hollins, PhD, ALC, who continues it’s mission today—with love, grit, and unwavering purpose.
