How We Started
The MEGA International Legacy Foundation (formerly The Center for Urban Missions) was established in 1986 by Rev. Dr. Gerald Austin Sr. With a heart for justice and a soul steeped in service, Dr. Austin knew firsthand the challenges—and the potential—within underserved communities. His story began in Birmingham, Alabama, and evolved into a movement that has touched tens of thousands of lives.
